Ben Robertson realises rugby dream thanks to Jonesy's Youth Foundation

Ben Robertson is 11 and has a very rare condition that only about 30 kids in NZ have. It means his dream of playing rugby has been curtailled but surgeries, providing mental and physical obstacles, but this smiling young man got a chance today out at Massey thanks to Michael Jones, and Jonesy's Youth Foundation.

Ben was born 27 weeks premature, and has had issues with his bowel all his life. After many surgeries and difficulties, both mental and physical, he is now able to manage his condition thanks to a Chait button permanently in his stomach, however this has proven a massive hurdle in his dream of being able to play rugby. Its something hes ALWAYS wanted to do, and Michael Jones of Jonesy's Youth Foundation today gave Ben that very chance.

The objective of Jonesy's Youth Foundation is to provide support and assistance to boys and girls in NZ primarily between the ages of 5 and 18 helping them with finance, health, wellbeing, along with life skills and development.

Today out at Massey Rugby Club, Ben was able to live that dream and get a taste of the sport we love, and perhaps take for granted the ability to play.
Congratulations Ben, and Love your work Jonesy!
