CHARITY ROUND: Harbour Rugby and Principal Partner QBE Team up with Orange Sky to Recognize World Homeless Day

At North Harbour Rugby, we’ve teamed up with our partners at QBE to shine a spotlight on the work of their charity partner Orange Sky New Zealand to mark World Homeless Day on 10th October.

There are 41,000 Kiwis currently experiencing homelessness. Orange Sky helps to positively connect people doing it tough through access to free laundry, warm showers and genuine, non-judgemental conversation. Each week, more than 100 volunteers give their time to go out on shift with a bright orange van and create a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who too often feel ignored or disconnected from their community.

QBE GOALS FOR GOOD:

We love what Orange Sky is doing, so look out for lots of orange at our home game on the 10th October. In partnership with QBE and Orange Sky, we’ll be running an orange edition of QBE Goals for Good, as we come together to raise awareness and funds to help Orange Sky help more Kiwis in need. For every try North Harbour score on the day, QBE will be donating $2,000 to Orange Sky.
