The Senior club finals finished last weekend with the Presidents Grade Finals Day out at Massey RFC with our old boys giving it all for their last game of rugby for the 2017 season. Secondary schools and the junior tournament finish local finals on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The secondary schools 1st XV 1A final played out on QBE Stadium on Thursday 17 August with Rosmini coming from behind with a late converted try to tip-over their much fancied old foe Westlake with an 18-12 win after initially leading for much of the game – see College 1st XV Reports. The 1C (Kristin 1st XV won 15-10 over Northcote 1st XV), 3rd grade (Westlake 4th XV won 32-7 over Albany Senior 1st XV) and 7B finals ( Westlake Red beat Westlake Green 24-23) were played on Saturday 19 August. The 1A plate final was won by Massey 32-8 over Whangarei BHS in the other big final. The secondary school grade semi-finals were completed 19 August and the A grade finals to be played on the magnificent hybrid pitches on QBES Stadium Oval on Saturday 26 August as follows:
