North Harbour Men’s B first competition game against Auckland Colts got off to a positive start with an early season 39-19 victory over Auckland which hasn’t been achieved in some years.   There is still plenty to work on but the management is satisfied with progress.   Player of the day was Dwayne Polataivao with his organising round the field. Tackle of the day was a try saving effort just before half time went to Gannon Moore. David McMurtrie contributed 19 points for his efforts with 2 conversions and 5 penalties.

The North Harbour U19s got off to an early flier racking up 22 points in the first half against Auckland Development. Harbour maintained good discipline and stuck to their well planned structures. However Auckland Development came back hard in the second half, putting pressure on Harbour and scoring 19 points in quick succession. Harbour regrouped with 5 to go and scored a couple of late tries to end the match for a 32-19 win.
