The Canon 1A 1st XV has Westlake right out in front with no losses and 9 bonus points, with Rangitoto and Rosmini behind in a close tussle for 2nd and 3rd place but Rosmini has a game in hand,  Takapuna brings up 4th place and looks assured of a Championship semi-final spot.  Massey leads the Plate division from Birkenhead, Whangarei and Orewa.  Four fixtures remain in the second round, the mid-week round being deferred by most schools to the last week of the school holidays with semi’s to be held 12 August and the final as a curtain-raiser to Mitre 10 Cup opening game vs Otago Thursday 17 August.

The other grades are now moving into their second round of games with some grades playing the first Saturday of School Holidays 8 July where required and some not, with boys rugby resuming in full on 29 July .  Open B has morphed into 1B with Westlake 2nd XV, Mahurangi 1st XV and Rosmini 2nd XV leading the pack and in the 1C division Kristin 1st XV has top placing.  Open C becomes 2nd grade and 3rd grade for the second  round  with Orewa 2nd XV and Westlake 3rd XV front runners in the 2nd grade and Rosmini 3rd XV looking to top the 3rd grade with Takapuna 2nd XV and Albany Senior 1st XV pushing them.

The 4th grade is playing in the Wider Auckland U19/U70Kg grade and Rosmini sits in 4th place in the A grade and in the northern zone B grade has Takapuna  and Northcote tied in first place. 

Westlake 5A is contesting the Auckland U15A grade this year and sits in a creditable middle of the table against tough Auckland and Counties opposition.  The North Harbour 5th grade A division has Rangitoto, Rosmini and Massey A out in front and the B division has Kaipara and Birkenhead leading the grade.

6th grade A division has Rosmini A and Westlake A leading the table and in the B division Rosmini B leads Massey.  The 7th grade has Mahurangi and Takapuna out in front with Orewa, Rosmini and Kings (Auckland) tied in third place and forming the A division.  The 7B division play 29 July – Westlake Red & Green along with Rangitoto and Kaipara.

The Girls competition is led by Kaipara and Glenfield and they commence round 2 on 24 July after the School Holidays with the top 4 in the A division and bottom 4 in the B division.
