2015 ITM Cup Squad

QBE North Harbour Rugby has announced their ITM Cup squad this morning. The squad of 27 features 25 players who play their club rugby in the region with the exceptions being Rene Ranger and Daniel Halangahu who have both recently returned from France.

“Our coaching group have been keeping a close eye on our Premier Club competition all year. We have been really impressed with a number of players, a few who have held their hands up high all season.” Comments Head Coach - Steve Jackson. “With QBE Harbour also having 14 players exposed to Super Rugby this season, it means we have the core of a very strong squad”.

The side also features the return to the NZ rugby scene of Rene Ranger, who comes back from France after two years playing at Montpellier. Ranger, who has recently had surgery, will likely feature from half way through the ITM Cup campaign. “As with any recovery, we will monitor Rene’s progress on a week-by-week basis. To be honest our biggest issue with him will be to keep him from playing before he is ready as he is really keen to get into it.’ says Jackson.

QBE Harbour will play two pre-season games over the next 3 weeks – against Waikato on 31^st July in Hamilton and Auckland at Onewa Domain on 6 August - as they fine tune their systems and structures before they take on Bay of Plenty in the first round.
