Finals day on Sunday 27 August at Takapuna RFC at Onewa Domain was a great day if a little cold and windy. The sidelines were packed, well behaved and the rugby on display from the 16 teams was outstanding. Thanks to Jim Kane who co-ordinated the referees on behalf of the North Harbour Referees Association on the day and many thanks to those referees who gave the time to officiate on the field and the sideline on finals day and throughout the 6 weeks of the tournament. Many thanks to Aaron Ewing and his volunteers from Takapuna who hosted the finals, setting up the fields and running the tuck shop and sausage sizzle which sold out completely. Thanks to all the clubs and their committees who hosted the games throughout the tournament. Thank you to Lewis Gjaltema, Gerard Cowley-Tuioti and Hapakuki Moala-Lia’ava from the Mitre 10 Cup squad who spoke at the three prize-giving sessions and presented the Shields and Certificates. The rugby was enjoyed by all and congratulations to the winners and to all the teams who participated. The results are as follows:
