The 2018 Junior Tournament Finals Day was held at Windsor Park, East Coast Bays RFC in cool but good conditions. The J1 regional team final was won 36-21 by Southern Sharks (Takapuna/North Shore/Marist) over the Western Pioneers (Massey/Kumeu). The J2 Championship shield was secured by Massey in an exciting 39-33 win over Takapuna with the J2 Plate shield being picked up by Silverdale in a 35-17 win over East Coast Bays. In the J3 Championship Kumeu, supported by a big crowd from Riverhead beat Silverdale 19-5 and the J2 Plate saw Mahurangi overwhelm plucky Marist 38-5. The J4 Championship Shield will be shared by North Shore and Silverdale after an absorbing battle for 7 all draw and in the Plate, Massey were too good for Helensville winning 33-5.
Marist deservedly won the Tournament Sportsmanship Trophy.
