The first senior club rugby finals were held for the Premier grade last weekend 16 July with the Bowl finals being contested. Mahurangi won the Premier 1 Bowl final 21-11 over Marist up at Warkworth Showgrounds with NHRU Vice-President John McKittrick presenting the trophy to the jubilant Mahurangi side.
At Albany, Marist comfortably defeated Western Pioneers 30-5 to take the Premier 2 Bowl in what was the Western Pioneers last appearance in North Harbour club rugby. Marist club stalwart John Cameron presented the trophy to the winning Captain.
