College First XV Final

What promised to be a close final turned out to be one way traffic in the end as Westlake, thanks in no small part to the two Inisi Brothers held up then worked over a Massey side that started brightly. Massey, with the sun in thei eyes made the running in the first 10 minutes getting close and then getting over the line only to be called back for an earlier obstruction. From the penalty clearance and the subsequent lineout Westlake kicked the ball down field with Fine Inisi on the end to score his first of three tries.

Massey hit back again going over the line only to have this one called back as well. Whiolst Massey remained oin the game, Westlake were feeding on scraps with a loose carry from Massey ending up in Fine Inisi's hands and a second try. From the kick off  Westlake went back down the field with some great interpassing before their wing Spencer McDowall passed as he was going out to Fine Inisi inside him to complete his hat trick. Lotu Inisi then got in on the act and the score was 24-3 at half time.

Massey ran out of gas in the second spell and Westlake got on top and made them pay with tries to reserve half Casey Smith and Harry Forbes. Final score Westlake 36 - Massey 3. Fine Inisi deservedly named Man of the Match
