North Harbour Rugby is delivering a Sevens Festival on November 14th at the Helensville RFC.
This year we are looking to bring a range of participants together representing both Clubs and Secondary schools across the Junior, Youth and Senior systems. We understand by building better relationships between the club and schools through systems and activations, we are creating more appeal, providing more choice, and making Rugby relevant for our participants.
We have provided grades for U13 players who are graduating from the junior Club system into the Youth system. We have a hybrid grade for both school and club of origin teams to compete against each other, giving players more choice in both the male/female options. We have created a school leavers grade in the male system to encourage Year 13 leavers to connect to a club and play alongside 19 & 20-year-old existing club players. We have incorporated the Men’s U85kg grade into the Club sevens festival aligning this grade with the other club grades.
There are opportunities to provide tackle experiences for our female participants particularly in the U13 and U15 grades and further build the hybrid model of club and school teams playing in the same grade.
