Helensville Hosts a reunion of its 1996 team

This Saturday the Helensville Rugby Club is hosting a reunion of the premier team from 1996 which was our most successful team in the North Harbour Era when it contested the premier final. The side was coached by Duncan McNab and was packed full of local talent such as Stan Phillips,  Stephen King,  Renata and Ngarimu Blair, Callum McNeil, and Tenei Nio-Aporo. All Black Frank Bunce played alongside his brother Tony.

The side's management included life member Malcolm Pickering.

Also in attendance will be the 2006 team which won the Les Pearce Shield and Cross Over finals and contested the semi finals of the North Harbour Premier competition.

Ngarimu Blair was also a member of this team which was coached by his brother Tracy Davis. This side also had a strong local flavour with Kris and Scott Stokes featuring alongside Dan Keefe, Jason Flay and Scott Narbey.

Life member Dave Chisholm was the team's manager.

Both the Raging Bulls and under 85kg teams are at home kicking off at 2.45pm.

All supporters are welcome to come and cheer on the VILLAINS and share a cold beer after the match.
