QBE Harbour will make the short jaunt down State Highway One to open their preseason against Waikato tomorrow afternoon (Friday 31st July) at Beetham Park in Hamilton. Kick Off - 1pm.
Chris Vui, James Doyle and Michael Little are back in the fray after the trio missed all of last season with respective injuries, while Glenfield’s Josh Rowland gets his first opportunity at fullback. Also on the comeback trail from injury is Bryn Hall who will captain the side this ITM Cup campaign.
“It’s a great chance to see where we’re at as a group against some quality opposition. We only have this game and a clash against Auckland before we take on Bay of Plenty in round one, and we want to make sure we hit the ground running by that time,” said head coach Steve Jackson.
