For most of us, we're are pleased just to REACH Senior Rugby and make our debut, and play a season or two of Premier club rugby. For a lot of us that is as far as we go.
This weekend sees a massive milestone for the Takapuna Legend Jon Elrick as he is set to reach 200 Premier appearances for his club.
Playing aboard has proven hugely successful for "J-EL" too, as he has also amassed several years playing in Wales, England, USA, and France, as well as a season in Northland for the Taniwha, and 19 appearances for Harbour, contributing 85 points to date. Just a drop in the bucket compared to his 2100+ for the Blue and Gold.
Congratulations Jon - a true legend of the Union and your Club.
