The J1 regional tournament held on Sunday 7 August had Northern Reds edge Central Sabres 35-31 and the Southern Sharks were too good for the Western Pioneers. The last games of the J1 round robin will be held 21 August. The J2/J3/J4 quarter finals saw the winners going on to the championship semi-finals 21 August and the losers contesting the Plate semi-finals. Northcote, Silverdale, Takapuna and Kumeu go through to championship semi’s in the J2, Mahurangi, Takapuna, Silverdale and Kumeu in the J3 grade and Takapuna, Northcote Kumeu and Silverdale in the J4’s.
