The Mitre10 Cup draw has been released last night with a draw that has coach Steve Jackson licking his lips. Not only does Harbour enjoying both the first game in the new seasons competition (which will also feature the North Harbour Secondary Scholos 1A final as the curtain raiser) and the first Ranfurly Shield match of the season (provided Waikato retain it through their pre-season), but the draw provides the best possible combination of game spacing, afternoon football and some good home fixtures. "Draws are never perfect" comments Jackson "but when I saw this one I thought this gives us every opportunity - something we have not always been able to say."
With home games this year against Counties, Manawatu, Southland, Bay of Plenty and Tasman there is plenty for home fans to get excited about. Lock these dates into the diary now. Full release found here
