North Harbour Under 19 bounced back from their loss to Northland to defeat Auckland B 20-18 in a very tight encounter. They take on Auckland A next Saturday 3 September at Bell Park at 1pm in the final seeding match of the Blues Under 19 division to improve their ranking going into the Under 19 National Tournament 15-21 September.
The Men’s B side were looking to come back from a previous big loss to Auckland and led early in the game but were just behind Taranaki at the break 10-14. Taranaki took charge in the second half with three very good tries and Harbour stayed in touch with a converted try and penalties but with some discipline issues occurring Harbour eventually went down to visitors Taranaki 26-35 and will face Auckland Colts away 3 September at Colin Maiden Park.
The Harbour Hibiscus women struggled against a strong Canterbury side going down 7-50 and go into the bye this weekend.
