The 2016 North Harbour club Under 19 grade 10 aside competition kicked off the season with a field day at Northcote on Saturday 16 April. Five teams from Northcote, North Shore, Silverdale, Kumeu and Marist assembled for a 1pm start and played two 40 minute games each (20 minutes each way). This is a new initiative to attract school leavers back into to club rugby with a simple format for a fast but structured game. The players enjoyed the day of willing rugby and demonstrated their skills in a fast and open game to their many supporters.

Kumeu 34 Northcote 10
Northcote 19 Silverdale 14
Kumeu 22 North Shore 17
Marist 29 North Shore 15
The plan is to continue with a field day format over the next few weeks and grow the participation numbers. Interested players should contact their club and join in this fast and open game of U19 10’s. The next U19 10’s field day will be at Takapuna Saturday 23 April and teams are to assemble at 12pm.
