QBE Harbour name strong side to play the Magpies

Its great to have James Parsons, Bryn Hall and Tevita Li all back and playing their first game for QBE Harbour in 2016 and their first taste of the new Laws. They headline a strong looking run onside side which includes a number of players that have stood out in the early pre-season matches.

A real feature,from a HarbOUR BOYS perspective, will be Marty Swart - taking the field for the first time in 2 years as he has been recovering from two seperate ACL reconstructions in the last two seasons. Marty has been training the house down and is itching to get on the paddock. He takes the starting spot that Matt Duffey held in the match against Auckland, after the Blues player fell ill overnight and hasn’t traveled with the squad.

Daniel Hilton Jones, named the North Shore clubs player of the year has moved in one spot to partner Matt Vaega in the midfield which means in the second stanza the midfield partnership will see the Little cousins join forces.

Glen Preston gets a crack at the 7 jersey and Connor Collett has been brought into the squad off the back of a good performance for our Development XV. Dylan Lam comes in for the injured Brandon Nansen who had a slight head knock against Auckland and we are resting him for precaution.

The team went old school on the way down, having a long day traveling to Napier by bus. (Thanks Ritchies). It was a great way to continue to bring the team together, although the young entertainment committee of Dylan Lam and James Little will need to pick up their game on the way home as they offered a terrible selection of movies and a real lack of information - ruling them out of any tour guide roles in the near future.
