Head coach Steve Jackson is delighted to announce that Bryn Hall will be the captain of our 2014 ITM Cup team. Hall will replace James Parsons who led the side last year.
“It has undoubtedly been my toughest decision so far. James is a top bloke who is Harbour through and through. He continues to impress all those around him – that is just the kind of bloke he is, but I feel for him to take his game to a new level, releasing him from the captaincy is the right thing to do.
“I see this as a real win-win as the same can be said for Bryn. I believe the captaincy role will further develop Bryn who has already had a stand-out season,” said Jackson.
22 year old Hall, a product of our Northcote Club is rapt with the call up. “I can’t deny that I was stoked to be offered the captaincy. I have heaps of respect for the job James has done and hope I earn the same mana from the boys.”
“This season has a really good feel about it and we can’t wait to get into it. I mean this Friday we get the chance to test ourselves against the All Blacks and then the following week we kick off in the ITM Cup. We look at that draw and feel excited; we can’t wait to prove to ourselves and our fans that we are the real deal, that we are moving onwards and upwards.”
