QBE Harbour will give the bulk of their squad time tomorrow as they continue to look at both the individual members of our squad and how the various combinations are working together. Coach Steve Jackson has a definite plan heading into this one "For our Super players, this will be the first time for them to look at how the new laws are applied in practice. We want to ensure these guys get good minutes in order to help the adapt as quickly as possible". Jackson has named a large squad with all his available Super players. Notable omissions are the Super boys that had massive workloads during the Blues campaign (James Parsons, Tevita Li and Bryn Hall) as well as Ray Niuia who is injured.
Jackson says there is a great feel in this years camp " The boys are coming along really well. The guys coming back from Super Rugby have fitted back in well and are really up for this years campaign. Everyone has been really impressed by the form and the numbers some of the younger members of the squad are posting in training, and there is some guys holding their hands high for our starting spots."
"We had a plan heading into the Northland game last week and were delighted with aspects of that match. We certainly got a lot of learnings from that match. There are other areas we will be focusing on tomorrow, and if we can execute those we will be delighted."
Tomorrows game is at QBE Stadium - 2.30pm kick-off with Free entry.
