Representative Report for 29 August

The North Harbour Rugby Mens B team and Mens B Development team have been battling it out for three weeks in the strong 10 team Northern Region Mens B grade and to date it has been hard yards for both teams.  Mens B lost to Counties 11-24 15 August, defeated North Harbour Mens B Development 48-24 22 August and lost to Auckland 8-27 last Saturday 29 August.  The Mens B Development team struggled against Auckland Colts 15-52 15 August and lost to Counties 18-30 28 August.  The other teams in Mens B are Auckland B, Auckland Colts, Counties B, Counties Dev, Northland B, Waikato B, Bay of Plenty B and Taranaki B.   The U85 representative team got off to a great start defeating their arch-rivals Auckland 20-14 away in their first fixture. The U85 will play Waikato, Counties and Auckland again in their schedule.

The teenage grades join the fray in various Northern Region and Blues Region grades for the first time on Saturday 5 September.  The U19 will play against Auckland A and B, and the Northland team in a Blues Region seeding round and will then play in the Jock Hobbs Memorial National U19 tournament in Taupo 27 September to 3 October.  The U18 team will play in a Blues division against Northland and three Auckland teams – West, East and Divisional. There are two North Harbour regional U16 teams playing four regional Auckland and two regional Northland teams in two pools with a top 4 cross-over finals against the Chiefs top 4 sides.  There are also two U14 North Harbour regional teams playing four Auckland and two Northland teams in two pools.  U18 girls will play Auckland East and West, and a Northland side and participate in cross-over finals against the four Chiefs teams.  The Roller Mills side (U13/U57kg) will travel to Kensington Park in Whangarei for the NRM Northern Region Roller Mills Tournament 27 September to 3 October in the first week of the school holidays.
